URGENT: Why is ICE deporting a church deacon? Pablo is set to be sent back to Mexico in two weeks!
Pablo is set to be deported on April 11th despite having no criminal record, a continous presence in the U.S. since the 1980’s, and a wife with severe allergies and a nervous disorder (her face has swelled due to the stress of the situation!). Initially racially profiled by plain clothes ICE agents outside of Home Depot, Pablo was told that if he had no criminal record he would have no issue if he presented himself to ICE. Instead, they began a case against him!
We cannot let ICE get away with this! Below are some additional steps you can take to help stop Pablo’s deportation.
1. Sign his petition (it takes two seconds).
2) Make a call (it takes thirty seconds)
TAKE ACTION - MAKE A CALL:
Call ICE Office of Chief Counsel - Kent J. Frederick @ 267-479-3500
Sample Script: ”Hi, I am calling to request that the Office of Chief Counsel stop the deportation of Pablo Navarette Garcia’s (A# 205-134-654) and grant him prosecutorial discretion. Pablo was victim of racial profiling, has no criminal record, and works as a deacon at his local church. Pablo’s wife has severe allergies, which have been heightened by anxiety caused by Pablo’s deportation date. Pablo works long hours to support her and pay their medical bills. Don’t deport Pablo!”
